Engine8 pricing has two pieces. A one-time build — scoped after a consultation and paid across milestones — to design and launch your platform. Then a monthly platform subscription that hosts it, supports it, and powers the CRM, email, analytics, and admin tools your team runs on every day.
We score speed, SEO, conversion flow, and backlink readiness, then project what changes when your stack is rebuilt as a custom growth engine.
What You Get
This is the baseline across every Engine8 platform — the operations system your subscription keeps live, so your site runs your business instead of just displaying it.
Lower-tier note: for most basic builds, email is outbound/send-only by default. Inbound receiving and advanced mailbox workflows are optional upgrades.
Higher tiers unlock the heavier operations modules — the systems that take real engineering to build and real infrastructure to run.
Every scoped project follows the same milestone structure — no hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
Locks the project into the schedule and starts planning, design, and build work.
Paid once the approved scope is built and ready for final refinement before launch.
Final payment tied to deployment, handoff, and launch support — not vague “completion” language.
Then: monthly platform
After launch, your platform subscription begins — hosting, support, and the operating tools, billed monthly or annually. New features are scoped separately as you grow.
You own your site and data and can export anytime. You pick the path at plan design: Engine8 Platform (subscription, AI tools and bulk email campaigns through us, ongoing dev work continues), or Standalone +40% (self-hosted, no subscription, those platform features stop working, ongoing dev through us ends). On the Platform path, the deferred 40% of your build converts you to standalone anytime.
Quotes stay valid 14–30 days. If scope grows after approval, the project moves into a change order instead of silently absorbing extra work.
Pick the engine that matches where your business is right now.
Brand Engine
Commerce Engine
Platform Engine
Not just pages. It's your front-end plus a custom backend your team operates from — leads, email, analytics, inbox, SEO, and admin behind one login. We build it for your business and run it on the Engine8 platform so it stays fast and supported.
Service business needing leads and bookings — Brand Engine. Selling products with a storefront and checkout — Commerce Engine. Dashboards, portals, or multi-user tools — Platform Engine. Not sure? Start a project and we'll scope it together.
A custom admin and operations foundation — email, automation, analytics, SEO, inbox, user management, and client/project tools. (On simpler builds, email is outbound/send-only by default; inbound handling can be added.)
Two parts. The build is scoped after a consultation and quoted as a clear, fixed price paid across milestones — no hourly billing. The monthly platform subscription covers hosting, support, and the operating tools. You'll know both before committing.
It covers hosting, third-party services, support, and the platform tools included in your plan. It does not include new development — new features, changes, and future phases are scoped and billed separately, so you only pay for coding work you've approved.
You own your site, brand, content, custom features, and data either way. The lever is the infrastructure. On the Engine8 Platform path, part of your build price is deferred while you're with us — your subscription carries it across the first 24 months. To run the app off our platform, you pay that deferred portion (40% of what you paid) in place of the subscription, and you own a standalone copy. Going standalone, the AI tools and bulk email campaigns sent through us stop working — they run on our platform — and Engine8 can no longer host, maintain, or continue developing your site. Regular email keeps working through your own connected business email. If Engine8 ever stopped operating, your code is released to you automatically.
The subscription is what keeps your platform hosted and supported. If it ends, hosting and support stop and the site can go offline — but your data is yours to export, and you can convert to standalone (pay the deferred portion) or arrange your own hosting. Month-to-month cancels on 30 days' notice after the initial 24-month minimum.
